Early Recovery Coordination: Lessons from Recent Field Experience in West Sumatra

The role of non-government assistance is gradually decreasing while the role of district government is significantly increasing during the early recovery process. A coordination model to apply district-based approach and maintain the advantage of working groups' coordination mechanism is therefore framed in the Early Recovery Network. Information flow, field situation, and local capacity contribute to the findings, challenges, and gaps of the early recovery coordination process along the way.
